A photographic image was converted to greyscale in xTool Creative Space and engraved onto a grey natural slate coaster using the xTool M2 20W diode laser. The coaster was processed directly on the baseplate at 158 mm/s and 33% power for one pass. The result produced a clear, detailed image with natural tonal variation across the slate.
