Laser Engraving Ash Wood - Cutting Board Machine: xTool P3 80W CO₂ laser Material: Solid ash wood Workpiece size: 450 × 300 mm Laser parameters: • Power: 80% • Speed: 800 mm/s • Line density: 250 lines/cm • Passes: 1 • Engraving time: approx. 1 h 05 min • Removable Air Nozzle: removed during engraving With these settings, the engraving depth exceeded approximately 1 mm. Due to the relatively deep engraving, visible heat discoloration and burn marks appeared around some engraved areas. Post-processing: The surface was sanded using 220-240-grit abrasive paper to remove the burn marks and clean up the engraved edges. Final surface treatment: Natural food-safe oil wax suitable for wooden kitchen products and food-contact surfaces. Note: Results may vary depending on the density, moisture content, grain orientation and surface condition of the ash wood.
