Two-Step Denim Engraving Method (xTool F2): To achieve a crisp, high-contrast white fade on denim without damaging the fabric fibers, follow this two-step process: Step 1 (Blue/Diode Laser): Run 1 pass using the blue diode laser. Settings: Power: 40%, Speed: 200 mm/s, Lines: 100 dpi. Purpose: Sets the initial base and pattern on the indigo fabric. Step 2 (IR Laser): Right after, run 1–2 passes with the exact same settings, but switch over to the IR laser. Settings: Power: 40%, Speed: 200 mm/s, Lines: 100 dpi. Purpose: Lifts out that amazing, bright bleached white contrast against the indigo. Pro Tips: Tension is key: Keep the fabric completely flat and stretched (using clamps or a jig) so the laser maintains a clean focus across the entire surface. Post-cleanup: A quick wipe or wash makes a huge difference in clearing away residue and making the contrast pop.
