Important safety notice

Settings are starting points — always run a test cut on scrap before your final piece. Follow your manufacturer's guidance, wear eye protection, and ensure proper ventilation.

With cardboard and my 10W laser, I like using 80% as much as possible, and just engraving and cutting at vastly different speeds (300 and 4, respectively). The engraving could be a little darker if run at 200, but the cuts at 80% and 4 are great - nice and clean, no excessive scorching.

Same material on xTool M2. Engrave stays the same regardless of thickness; cut changes with thickness.
